The moment you launch Wireless Wizard, it will immediately go to work and perform a Net Rank test that checks your bandwidth, latency, jitter, ping loss and security. That is but one of several tests that this application can perform. Here are the others: Test & Fix, Spectrum Analyzer/Channel Scan, Aim Wireless Adapter / Ping, Bandwidth (Internet Speed Test).

A setup wizard will help you install Wireless Wizard on your Windows-powered PC. This wizard will ask if you want to put a Wireless Wizard shortcut on the desktop, run Wireless Wizard at startup (checked by default), start Wireless Wizard in the system tray, and update network profiles.

From top to bottom, you will see the following on Wireless Wizard’s interface: information about your network and internet provider; Tools to view network information and run tests; Quick Links to launch Test & Fix and Net Rank; the results of the Net Rank test; an ad to test your internet speed (opens in your default browser); a search box to perform Google searches.

Wireless Wizard’s most important test is Test & Fix, which is meant to test and debug connectivity problems. This text covers the following: valid IP address, internet connectivity, [ISP Name] connectivity, sign-in status, wireless link quality.

Wireless Wizard is free software. If you like this application and you want to support its development, you can do that by making a donation.

Wireless Wizard tests your internet connection and helps you uncover connectivity issues. On top of that, it helps you access lots of information about your network.

Pros

Installing Wireless Wizard on a Windows PC doesn’t take long. The interface is fairly simple to figure out. You can use Wireless Wizard to access information about your network and to test your internet connection. Wireless Wizard is free software.

Cons

The setup wizard wants Wireless Wizard to automatically run at startup. Ads are displayed on the application’s interface, interface that feels cluttered and dated. Although Net Rank checks your bandwidth within the application, the Bandwidth test is performed within your browser. The Google search box is actually Azulstar powered by Google Custom Search. Clicking the X button doesn’t close Wireless Wizard, it minimizes it to the system tray. The interface always resets to its default position, it doesn’t remember where you placed it.
